At LEFKO, we take great pride in being experts at ADA projects.  Many of our past renovations have included ADA components, including improving building/floor access, restrooms updates, break room improvements, or new ramps and wheelchair lifts.  Over the years, we have successfully completed ADA projects for public and private sector entities, including the Georgia State University, Georgia Department of Labor, Gwinnett County and the City of Brookhaven, in addition to private clients such as Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices offices and Urbana Wellness Spa.

Projects in occupied spaces require a strict adherence to proven best practices, procedures and processes to lessen the impact on those currently ‘occupying’ the space.  Over the years, we’ve completed many such projects, and this experience allows us to develop site specific methodologies. Prime among these is our process to understand your needs and implement regular communication protocols to eliminate delays and resolve unforeseen issues.  For example, we always analyze which of the tasks most impact your operations, and plan to mitigate this impact.  This means we have established planning and notification routines when our work generates loud noise, interrupts elevator service, causes electrical and water outages, or causes other disturbances.

LEFKO also has extensive experience renovating and repurposing historical old buildings, as well as new construction that integrates into historical properties. These jobs require extra attention to detail and utmost sensitivity to maintaining the integrity of the historical structures and spaces.  Recent completions include work on the historic grist mill museum and grounds at Freeman’s Mill Park, the Clay Building in Conyers, renovating a building on Edgewood Ave. in Atlanta, and the rejuvenation of several floors of the historic Grant Building in downtown Atlanta.
